Leonard Nelson
Leonard Nelson was born in Harve, Montana in 1932. His family moved to Washington in 1938. Leonard started his woodworking hobby while he attended Shelton High School. When duty called in 1952, he entered the army and was stationed in Korea. During the Korean War, he was a Sargent of Combant Engineering. Upon returning home from the war, he started his career at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard as a carpenter and pattern maker. Today, he is a retired father of six and grandfather of eleven and resides in Allyn, Washington. Every child and grandchild of Leonard's hs many wooden toys: from rocking horses to trucks and household items like cutting boards and bowls. He now spends his time in his work shop either restoring antique cars or wordworking.
