Mark Ariyoshi
Though not a Tacoma native, Mark's love for Tacoma's history and special places runs deep. These 12 photographs, taken over the past 2-3 years, try to reveal something of what it means to live in Tacoma and experience the powerful mixture of old and new, a city at once dying, yet reinventing itself.
A graphic designer by trade, Mark has an intense passion for all creative disciplines, including digital photography. He takes inspiration for his art from daily life, and believes strongly in art's power to unify people, both through the final form and the process of creating.
